What is JOFFA?
The Jamaica Ornamental Fish Farmers Association (JOFFA) is a non
governmental membership organization representing the interests of ornamental
fish farmers, hobbyists and other pet fish interests in Jamaica. Facilitated by the
Jamaica Agricultural Development Foundation, JOFFA was established in 1996
as an offshoot of the Jamaica Aquaculture Association.
JOFFA is managed by an executive board which comprises a president, four
vice presidents, a secretary and a treasurer.
Main Objectives of JOFFA
To organize ornamental fish producers and related goods and service
providers throughout Jamaica
fish in Jamaica
thereby enabling Jamaica to become a major supplier of ornamental fish to
the international trade
To develop an effective, collective export marketing strategy for members
To cooperate with the Government of Jamaica for the convenience and
improvement of the ornamental fish industry
